Love bugs | Valentines crafts

Valentines Day is only around the corner and its a great excuse for some crafting. Valentines day falls  in half term for us which means lots of crafts will be made and last weekend we made some cute little
love bugs. They are really easy to make with little needed and little hand can do them themselves. We also did some heart sponge painting using our paint sponges from hobby craft which were only £3 and my toddler loved using them too.

You will need:

  • Card or toilet roll (painted your chosen colour)
  • Paper
  • Child friendly scissors
  • Goggly eyes
  • Glue
  • Pipe cleaners
  • Red seqin
  • Crayons

  • Start by rolling your card into a tube shape and gluing the end. Cut to size and leave to dry
  • Cut two small hearts out for wings and either paint or colour to your chosen colour
  • Stick the hearts on the back of the tube, overlapping the ends at the back
  • Glue the eyes and nose on
  • Cut the pipe cleaner to size and turn the top down into a C shape and glue inside the top of the tube
  • Draw on the mouth

We also did some sponge painting to use for cards and my toddler made a huge mess but he loved it so much. We flew around our bugs and had so much fun making and playing with them

I hope you enjoy making these :)
