How I'm loosing weight


Its the first week in January and like most I ate way to much in December and i am wanting to loose weight and get fit this year. I have said it before and i have lost weight before but never stuck to a fitness plan. This year i really want to work on myself. I obviously want to loose weight but also i want to be healthy overall. When i eat rubbish i feel rubbish, my skin breaks out, my nails break and my hair goes dull. Not only that but i generally have no energy and get lazy which makes me want to eat more crap. I have put on a lot of weight over the last few months and I'm really not happy with myself. This time last year i was the slimmest i had been since children and now i am gaining it quickly. Here are some thing i am starting this week to hopefully end the year happy an healthy. I want to feel comfortable in the summer and be able to wear nice clothes next christmas.

WORKOUTS

I have recently signed up to Results with Lucy. I did her workouts in between pregnancies on and off and looking back i really enjoyed them. I like the fact that the videos are done by a personal trainer and they are adding new ones all the time. I also like the fact i can work out with them and not have to follow a app or pictures in a book. I really need to visually see the trainer working out so i can follow, make sure I'm doing it correctly and feel like I'm having a PT session in my own living room (sometimes in my pjs) Results with lucy has several plans, i would recommend starting with the on demand and just looking at some of the recipes and workouts before you commit to buying a plan a sit may not be for you. Although the on demand doesn't offer a plan or menu you can put one together yourself. I may start doing a workout update to share what I'm doing.

FOOD
Although results with Lucy offer recipes, i also have her book the lean in 15 books and about a million other recipe books I'm going back to slimming world. I just can't rave about it enough. Although i have fallen off the wagon its nothing to do with the plan but my mindset. Slimming world is amazing if you like food but want to loose weight. I like comfort food, i like potatoes and takeaways and i need s bit of chocolate in my life or else i just fall off the wagon. Slimming world allows you to still enjoy good food and have treats with syns and loose weight. I believe slimming world can be as healthy or unhealthy as you make it and this time i really want to work in more salads and fruit and snack on though rather than biscuits and crisps. I will be posting videos on what i eat on my YOUTUBE channel and also on my slimming world instagram @theslimmersdiary if your looking for inspiration.

FITBIT
My partner bought me a fit bit a few months ago and i loved it, then it ran out of charge and i stopped using it ha! but i have put it back on as i do think its great for helping keep track of steps and workouts and also hitting daily goals. Mine lets me know when i need to get up and move if i haven't for a while and how many steps i need to do to hit my 10k goal each day. Its also great for tracking calories burned in a workout an your heart rate. It a great thing for motivation but i find the rubber strap a big irritating.

WATER
I do not drink enough water. In fact i have a slight addiction to pepsi max which really isn't doing me any favours. I really want to drink more water as i don't really mind it and i know how helpful it is with weight loss and also clearer skin. Water is really the most important thing when starting a weightless plan as it keeps everything moving and increases weight loss.

Thats what i plan on doing and I'm hoping to hit my target weight this year, but we will see. Are you planning on getting fit this year or loosing weight?
