Easter brownie | Recipe

Who doesn't love a brownie? This brownie recipe is perfect for Easter. Brownies are just the ultimate treat and you can add different topping and things inside to suit you. As Easter is upon us i wanted to share this easter brownie recipe. You can make it with whatever Easter treats you like but to make these delicious easter brownies i decided to use mini maltese bunnies - AMAZING! I have always loved baking, it has to be my favourite thing to do. I find that baking makes me happy.... and fat haha!! I really enjoy trying different recipes and sharing the finished product.

Brownies can be quite hard to make, i really struggled with melting butter and chocolate together they always seemed to seize and i could never get it right but a tip for 'how to melt chocolate and butter' is to use dark chocolate and melt the butter slightly in the microwave before adding it to the chocolate. Alternatively buy a brownie mix from the supermarket to make these really easy.

You will need:
200g Dark chocolate
175g Unsalted butter
325g Caster sugar
130g Plain flour
3 eggs
2 bags of mini malteser bunnies

-Preheat oven to 170c
- Melt the chocolate and butter over a pan of simmering water - Make sure it is on a very low heat and leave until melted
 - Remove from the heat and add the caster sugar to the chocolate and butter mixture and mix until incorporated.
-Add the flour and mix until incorporated, then add the eggs one by one and mix until thick and smooth
-Spoon the mixture into the prepared baking tray and bake for 30-35 mins.
- After 20mins take out the brownie and push the malteaser bunnies slightly on the top. I crushed a bunny in a bag and then sprinkled it on top, put them back in the oven to continue baking
-Take out of the oven and love to cool completely before cutting and serving
