Bourjois Air Mat foundation | Review

I tend to go more for heavy matte foundations but do struggle sometimes as i have dry skin and they tend to flake on my dry areas so i was looking forward to seeing what the air mat foundation was like.
First things, the packaging. It is in a squeeze tube which is more of a old style packaging but i do like it. The plastic tube makes it great for travelling or putting into your bag with the reassurance it won't break. I picked up the lightest shade that Bourjois offer which is 01 rose ivory. I have to say i could go about 3 shades lighter as 01 is just a little bit to dark and also on the orange side. I do find Bourjois don't tend to cater for pale skin, which is a shame as they do have some great foundations.
The actual foundation is great. I applied it with a beauty sponge and bounced it onto the skin and a little really does go a long way. When applying it, it doesn't feel tight or thick but really light with a silk like texture. It is a medium to full coverage and covered my scaring and redness really well, and i actually loved how it looked on my skin.
It did start to move and flake on my dry areas towards the end of the day but i did find that with a powder it gave it more lasting power. There is a smell to this foundation which is silmualr to rimmels smell, not one i am a huge fan of.
Overall i think this foundation is a great medium to full coverage foundation. It looks beautiful of the skin and feels very light and airy. I just wish they did lighter shades but i could/will make this work with a bit of tan.
have you tried this foundation?
