L'Oreal Color Infaillible Eyeshadows Review
Wednesday, 8 May 2013
Hi! I'm sure everyone has heard of the L'Oreal colour infaillible eye shadows as i think they have been around for a while but i own so many eye shadows i don't tend to buy to many of them any more. I have seen these mentioned in a couple of you tube videos and i wanted to try the brown one and white but no where seemed to have the brown so i picked up time resist white and flash back silver.
As always i will start with the packaging, they are small plastic see through containers with a screw lid. I like the fact that the bottom of the packaging is see through so you can see the exact colour, also at the bottom/top i don't know which, there is a clear circle again showing the colour surrounded but L'oreal. When the lid is removed you are welcomed by a black "stopper" which keeps the pigments in so when travailing or for keeping in your makeup bag they wont spill or become loose.
What the eye shadows are, are pressed pigments and are a sort of cream texture (similar to sleek eyeshadows) when you swipe with a finger and glide really nicely on to the lid. These eye shadows claim to be long lasting, waterproof and bold in colour. I don't know about waterproof however they aren't as easy to remove as other eye shadows and they do last a long time with out creasing or fading. The pigmentation is fantastic the pictures above are with just one swipe and you get full colour and the quality is amazing.
Color Infaillible eye shadows are better applied with a finger as i do find when using a brush to apply the pigments don't tend to adhere to the brush so i had to keep reapplying but with a finger i did get full coverage. They can also be applied wet for a different look or even eyeliner.
The two colours i picked up were "Time Resist white" and flashback silver. Time resist white in the packaging looks like a cream but when applied to the eye it is a true white. Its been a long time since i purchased a white eyeshadow as it not something i ever apply but this is perfect for apply to the inner corner of the eye or lightly applied to the brow bone as a highlight. The second colour was flashback silver, a stunning silver when hit by the light it reflects almost like a gun metal look and is perfect with a black in the out corner for a smokey eye. The only downside i found is that there isn't really a fantastic selection of colours. I would love to see some more browns and nudes as i would probably buy them all because these are honestly fantastic!
