Hi everyone! Can you believe its already April?! This year is going so quickly and i cannot believe I'm going to have a 1 year old soon! This month i got around to doing a monthly favourites for you guys. I always enjoy reading other peoples favourites and seeing what everyone has been loving from month to month. So here's my mini reviews for my favourites in march.
Chanel - Soleil tan de chanel (bronze universal)
I'm in love with this bronzer. When i first bought it we had a love hate relationship, we broke up a few times mainly because i wasn't using it properly (see next favourite) but this is the perfect colour for me to use as a contour and it blends like an absolute dream! Its not too orange or red toned and i think this will suit nearly everyone if used correctly. I have had this bronzer for such a long time and i use it all the time and there is still so much in the tub left it is crazy! I know alot of people look at the price tag and think its a little pricey but you honestly get alot of bang for your buck!
Real techniques - Buffing brush
Which brings me nicely onto the Real techniques buffing brush. This brush is the dogs b's! Honestly i think it amazing and since i bought it i have used it mainly for foundation but recently started using it with my tan de chanel to blend it out and the two together are honestly a match made in heaven! I apply my bronzer with a contour brush and then using the buffing brush i lightly blend it into the skin making the contour look alot more natural and with no harsh lines. Its also great for blush powder and everything basically.
Rimmel lipstick - 101
My all time favourite lipstick is Mac snob. Its the perfect purple toned pink. A while ago i discover Revlon's pink pout which is a dupe for snob and last month i was made aware of the cheaper alternative that is Rimmels 101. It is a very very close match to snob but i find it a little darker however i love it. The whole Kate moss range is fab and the lipsticks are so creamy with a matte finish and they last a long time on the lips.
Mac lipstick - ravishing.
I have owned ravishing for ages and its kind of sat in my lipstick draw not being shown any love until i saw Shannon on you tube (here) showed it either on instagram or in one of her videos and i got it out and fell in love with it again. I'm really liking orange toned lipsticks at the moment. Ravishing is more of an understand orange, like a orange brown rather than an orange red and is perfect for a pretty daytime lip.
Maybeline the falsest mascara.
Tanya burr is always raving about this mascara and last month i thought id pick it up and give it a go. Its an amazing mascara and the best i have tried in a long time and i can see this being my favourite for a long time!
l'Oreal Lumie magic highlighter.
I wont go into this too much as i will be doing a full review soon. But its basically a highlighter/concealer in a twist pen type tube with a brush on the end. I have really been like this for under my eyes and under my brown bone. It looks natural and give a lovely radiance to the skin.
Barry M gel nail paint - Green berry
I recently did a full review which you can read (here) and i have been wearing it for the most of march.
Rimmel wake me up foundation.
This is most bloggers favourite drugstore foundation, and i started using it again a few weeks ago its the perfect medium coverage foundation and as i have been ill i needed a nice foundation to, well "wake me up" and make me look human again and i can always rely on wake me up. I love the dewy finish it give to the skin.
Super drug Solait tinted self tan - Dark
Again i wont go into too much detail as i plan on writing a full review on this tan. As it seems that England has its seasons mixed up and its winter instead of spring there is no chance of a glimpse of sun to get a slight tan so fake is the way! This is the nicest tan i have tried in a long time. The colour is a lovely deep tan without being orange and can be applied once for a more natural tan or built up with two applications. I have used the moose version prior to this and i did like it but i much prefer the lotion and i will be stocking up on this little gem. The best thing is its around the £5 mark!
Mac eyeshadow - Mulch
I forgot i even had this eyeshadow and even commented on other people who had it saying im going to buy it as it looked so nice. I have a mac palette which has all my neturals and browns in but for some reason this didnt make it and has been sat in the draw with my other less loved eyeshadows. Mulch is a beautiful bronzed tone brown with slight shimmer running through, but not too much. This can be worn through the crease for a nice daytime look or all over for a more dramatic look. I have been loving this with naked lunch or all that glitters on the lid then Mulch in the crease. Like all mac eyeshadows its highly pigmented and lasts all day!
What have your favourites been? Dont forget if you have done a favourites post to link it below so i can have a nose :)
