I'm not one to be a nail polish snob, in fact every time i buy a OPI or that sort of £10 price bracket for a nail polish i feel a little of me dies inside! Honestly £10 for a nail polish when i think there are cheaper similar quality nail polishes (Barry m im looking at you) on the market i hate paying too much for a polish. My polish tends to last a day at most, it always chips no matter what brand or price i pay none can take my daily life tasks i.e washing up!!
I have never tried a high end brand nail polish like Dior or Chanel however every now and then i like to treat myself to something nice beauty related. When i saw the colour Tutu from Dior it was love at first sight. The colour looked like the perfect milky pink and i knew i needed it in my life. With my birthday just around the corner i drummed it into my fiancé's head that i wanted this particular nail polish. To my joy when i opened my presents i had been gifted with this beauty.
This kind of colour wont be to every ones taste, i know this but me its perfect. 155 Tutu is a stunning milky pink colour, that lovely nearly white pink which i think looks so elegant especially with a pearl bracelet and i have read reviews saying the colour is similar to Essie's Fiji, which i cannot comment as i haven't tried it.
The Dior packaging as expected is lovely, very simple but looks so pretty and has the CD logo on top of the silver lid, which pulls off. The brush is a very thick brush which i believe is Dior's new thing, however i don't like a thick brush. Being a beauty therapist for year's i had it drummed into me about 3 stokes blah blah so i prefer a thin long brush, but i can see hoe people will like a thicker brush as if you are careful you can do one nail in one stroke.
Quality, oh Dior you have converted me! The quality is amazing, it really is the best polish i think i have ever tried. It lasts more than a day, i cannot pick at it and it doesn't chip. With this sort of pink it is so hard to get the full colour, it always seems to go streaky with other brands i try and this is the best i have tried. The first coat is a little streaky but nowhere near as bad as others i have tried and with two coats, if applied correctly you get full colour with no streaks. This has to be my all time favourite polish/colour and i will definitely be dipping into Dior nail polishes more often.
Have you tried any from the new collection?
