Enrapture Totem styler - Review

Hi ladies! I hope your all doing OK! I have been meaning to do a post on my Enrapture styler for a little while now. I'm a bit funny with how i like my curls to look, i like them to be brushed out big bouncy loose curls and so far no matter how many curling iron's, wand's or heated rollers i have purchased (i have a whole draw full) i haven't found the "one" that get my hair to look how i want it and last.

I first heard about Enrapture a long time ago in blogging land and i have always lusted over their hair tools however the price of them was over £70 and because of my past experience with all the many curling tools i have i never wanted to spend the money on them just to use once and throw in a draw, and i honestly wish i did a long time ago.

Just before Christmas i saw Instagram go crazy over the heated rollers being less than half price and i searched high and low to find a Argos with them in stock and i purchased a set of the heated rollers and the Totem styler for around £30 each and i was over the moon! I will be honest the Totem styler sat in its box for a while as I'm a mum i never really find the time to spend on my hair any more and any spare time i have i spend cleaning or working on my Etsy shop, and i forgot about it, then the lovely snow came and mike spent the day working from home and looked after Lilly so i got to try out my styler!

The first thing i love about Enrapture is the packaging (yes I'm a sucker for packaging) They come in a lovely blue box with the Enrapture logo which has a magnetic flap to open them. Inside is the styler, instructions on the different setting you can use to create different styles and a heated mat which also doubles up as a carry bag! Enrapture really are a luxury brand.

The setting i used was 2-2-2 which i saw someone post on their blog and the curls looked lovely, i sectioned my hair into three sections and started to curl. The curler comes with a little clasp for the hair but i just didn't get on with it, i found it too small to clasp my hair for the large curl i wanted and i dont really know how to use it so it dented the ends of my hair so i use it just like i would use a wand where i just hold the end of the hair and started curling. The styler heats up really quick and i only had to leave the curl for about 5-10 seconds and then release which for me as a mum i don't want to be sat there for ages waiting for it so its a big bonus! When i release the curl it was a tight ringlet which i left until i finished my whole head and waited 5 minuets for them to cool and then brushed them through quite a bit because i like that the loose curl look, sprayed some hairspray and then they were set for the rest of the day!

I really like how the curls turned out and this has to be the best styler i have ever tried and to be honest i would never have paid £74.99 for them unless i tried it for myself to see the result! Its quick, easy and lasts all day! Also a great thing with this styler is the swivel cord, there is nothing worse than when you do the "hard side" and the cord doesn't move and you have to try and get in all angles to curl your hair!

They are currently £59.99 in Argos HERE so go grab them whilst you can :) Have any of you tried any enrapture products?

xXx

  9. I love these, use them more than anything else on my hair, and they're one of the few things that actually give shape to my stubborn hair that normally refuses to be anything other than straight. You hair looks lovely here!xxx
